Q Collective
2022/2023
The Q Collective is a monthly meeting place for young people (13-20 years old) who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, non-binary and/or queer, and/or question their gender identity and sexual orientation (LGBTQ+). The Q collective offers a protected space where contacts are made with other queer young people, mutual exchange takes place, empowerment and the diversity of life paths becomes visible.
The Q Collective follows an informal, self-directed approach that adapts to the needs and wishes of the participants and allows them to actively shape the space. In addition, events and workshops on e.g. mental and sexual health, empowerment or self-defence are offered. The programme also offers the opportunity to learn about current and historical LGBTQ+ issues through guest speakers, films, art and more. New perspectives will be highlighted. At the same time, the program offers anti-discrimination workshops to schools in Berlin that specifically focus social identities, gender and sexuality.
